Project Overture
Who are we
Project Overture raises awareness and hosts sessions involving expressive arts and drama therapy to improve the mental well-being of individuals especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.
Our Story
Originated from our founder Thitari Wittayathawornwong's passion for theatrical arts, Project Overture was created for individuals to express their emotions in a safe inclusive space. Thitari started this project from researching about drama therapy and art therapy with professors and art therapists from across the world. She utilizes her own 10 years of experience in performance arts to design the interactive sessions. Thitari wishes to share the positive feeling she receives from performing and acting to those who need them.
Why "Overture"
The "Overture" refers to the musical piece played at the beginning of a play to set the theme of the play. Our expressive art sessions are the "overture" or the opening of the participants' exciting life journey after they completed the sessions. We hope to make our sessions a theme setter to make our participants enjoy the positivity in their daily lives.
